Painting is my means of self-expression and spiritual quest through personal experiences. I paint because I am a creator that can only exist while creating, and I want to share my internal world and conceptions with my external world, this world that we all share. I really do want to do my part in making this world more colorful, beautiful and spiritual.

In my work I bring these visual and spiritual worlds together as the mirror of the soul itself, based on an earthly landscape theme. I paint very quickly in order to express spontaneously and to catch individual, special moments-a true spiritual experience documented on canvas. For me, oils are the perfect medium for this. I prefer to add thicker layers of paint, which tends to make the landscapes more dramatic, while putting things in some perceived mode of perpetual motion.

All my paintings are connected with my spiritual world; as in my opinion, the spirit is far more useful than any earthly body. It is a social norm that we do not slow down enough or get too wrapped up in routine to breathe in the meaning of life, being human or developing our higher spirit. Yet, it is my goal to slow people down for this, just for a moment to reflect on such things. In short, I attempt to fill the sky of my paintings with mystical light, this colorful world of mystery.

I am influenced by "lyrical abstractionism," largely from the 1940's, but also Van.Gogh, E. Munch,J. Pollock, M. K. Ciurlionis, K.Zimblyte.
